Lingco is excited to be hosting the National French Contest for 2025! We’ve created a modern online educational platform designed to help instructors more effectively teach students foreign languages. We’re doing everything we can to make the Contest this year as smooth as possible, and we’ve created this guide to help get you started.
Lingco is a modern web-based application that works best with the latest version of Google Chrome, running on a laptop or desktop computer (either Mac, PC or Chromebook). It should also work on the last two versions of Safari, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge, but Chrome is highly recommended. The activities used in the National French Contest are designed for larger screens, so we don’t support using any mobile device or tablet at this time.
In order to take the National French Contest on Lingco you’ll also need:
<aside> ❗ Note: Certain school network components, such as VPNs and firewalls, can impact the quality of audio and video files in Lingco. Please discuss this with your network administrator if you discover such issues when testing out the Lingco platform before taking the National French Contest.

To get started, you’ll first need to create a Lingco instructor account. If you’ve already created one previously (for instance, if your school has been using Lingco for normal classwork) you can skip this step and move on to the next one.
<aside> 💡 After you’ve created your account, Lingco may automatically prompt you to create a new course. If you are using Lingco solely for the purpose of taking the National French Contest, you can ignore this step for now, and simply move on to the next section in this guide.

You can place your order for National French Contest at the Contest website. You will receive an email confirmation shortly after you place your order that your order has been uploaded to Lingco. Orders should automatically upload to your Lingco account within an hour of you placing your order. If you do not see it in your Lingco account, it’s likely because you placed your order on the NFC store with a different email from your Lingco email. In this case, please reach out to our customer support chat and we’ll be able to connect your order to your account.
After registering for the National French Contest, you’ll now have access to special National French Contest-related review materials in Lingco, as well as the 2025 Contest courses. Once you’ve logged in, you can see these by clicking the “National French Contest” button on the left sidebar in Lingco. Your Contest dashboard will have direct links to all your National French Contest courses:
